Subdivision of Miami Houses Creates Parking Crunch
Shenandoah, lined with bungalows and Spanish style Miami houses, is one of the city´s older neighborhoods that is currently undergoing a "rebirth." However, there is one obstacle potential neighborhood homebuyers must face: Parking.
Many of the city´s older neighborhoods, including Shenandoah, "were built decades ago when Americans had only one-third as many cars." Illegal subdivision of Miami houses in these areas have also added to the inordinate amount of cars.
However, the influx of new buyers in these areas is slowly changing the parking situation, as new buyers are bringing fewer cars and turning these subdivided Miami houses back into single family homes. With increased renovation, the number of families in these neighborhoods will drop, hopefully ending the parking crunch for good.
