A Little Extra Help in the Beautification of Miami Gardens, Florida
Miami Gardens, Florida recently received a $10,000 grant from Cingular Wireless to help in the improvement of Brentwood Park. This redevelopment is just one of many city beautification projects planned by Keep Miami Gardens Beautiful.
Miami Gardens, Florida was one of six cities in the state “to share a $45,000 grant aimed at helping the hurricane-stricken” area. The city of Miami Gardens will match the grant, making the Brentwood Park renovation a $20,000 project. The park “will get a walking trail shaded by big trees, along with more trees and flowers to beautify the surroundings of the parking lot and facility that opened two months ago.”
Residents are also volunteering to help keep city neighborhoods and roads looking their best by planting trees, picking up trash and painting buildings. If the beautification efforts go according to plan, the city is hoping that property values in the Miami Gardens, Florida area will increase.
